There are plenty of crypto apps out there.
But which one is the best for Europeans?
If you can’t find out the best place to buy cryptocurrency in Europe then you came to the right place.
Over the past 6 months, I’ve been trying to make money online and tested a variety of crypto exchanges in Europe.
Even though I wouldn’t call crypto a side hustle, I still researched and read about it on Reddit and then tested all the crypto apps to make sure I got the best of the best.
I wanted to find out which one has the best features, the lowest fees, and the best user experience.
If you want to know which crypto app is the best from a casual European investor’s POV, then in this blog I ranked and compiled all of them in one place.
What are the best crypto apps in Europe?
As the popularity of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies continues to grow, more and more people are looking for ways to invest in this new asset class.
In Europe, there are a number of ways to do this, ranging from traditional exchanges to new and innovative apps.
But with such a variety of platforms to choose from, it can be tough to know where to start.
So here are the best crypto apps in Europe:
Which crypto app has lowest fees in Europe?
If we’re comparing Coinbase vs Binance vs Crypto.com vs Kraken vs Revolut then the app that has the lowest crypto fees in Europe is Crypto.com.
However, there are always subtle ways these exchanges can charge hidden fees.
So let’s dive deeper into each one.
Best features:
- Free crypto. – this app lets you complete free 3-5 minute lessons about various cryptocurrencies and blockchains and earn $5 per lesson. Cionbase pays you in crypto to learn about crypto!
- Beginner friendly – the platform is extremely easy to use even for a complete beginner. Their user interface on the website and on their mobile app is so good that even the least tech-savvy user would understand it.
- Has advanced trading features – even though Coinbase is geared more towards beginner investors it has an advanced trade mode. It lets you limit orders, shows advanced charts, and more.
- Free $10 upon signup – Coinbase offers free money in crypto when you first sign up. This amount may vary from country to country but it’s not lower than $10. Claim free $10 on Coinbase.
I recommend checking out my full Coinbase review where I go over more in depth about these and many more features of this app.
Fees:
According to the Coinbase guide on fees:
As a taker and will pay a fee between 0.05% and 0.60%. As a maker, you will pay a fee between 0.00% and 0.40%.
What I like/dislike about it:
The only 2 things that I dislike about Coinbase:
- They have slightly higher fees compared to other crypto apps.
- The signup process was kind of lengthy. It required ID verification, which, on the other hand, means that the app is extremely secure.

2. Binance
Best features:
- Binance has lower fees compared to Coinbase.
- Has lower fees and other advantages if you use their BNB token.
- Supports over 500 cryptocurrencies such as Shiba Inu and Dogecoin. It has a wider selection of coins available than Coinbase.
Fees:
According to the Binance guide on fees:
For the average user, the Binance maker and taker fees are 0.1%.
What I like/dislike about it:
There’s 1 thing that I dislike about the platform:
It’s confusing and difficult to use at first. For investors who are unfamiliar with the cryptocurrency market, Binance may be difficult to use because it’s designed with advanced features in mind.
Coinbase definitely takes the upper hand when it comes to user interface and ease of use.

3. Crypto.com
Best features:
1. Crypto.com has the lowest taker and maker fees compared to Coinbase and Binance.
2. High-interest rates – Crypto.com can earn you up to 14.5 % annual percentage yield (APY) on your crypto. And with stablecoins like Bitcoin and Ethereum, you can earn up to 8.5% APY.
You can read more depth about Crypto.com vs Coinbase here.
Fees:
According to the Crypto.com guide on fees:
Crypto.com taker and maker fees are 0.075%.
What I like/dislike about it:
Crypto.com has poor customer service – Crypto.com has only 2 starts on Trustpilot and 64% of the reviews are bad.
Most of the bad reviews are about bad customer service experiences.
Get started with Crypto.com.
4. Kraken
Best features:
- Great customer service – the platform has been praised for its customer service on Reddit, which is available 24/7.
- Kraken is a bit more expensive than Binance but their withdrawal fees are lower. This is great for people who often trade, deposit, and withdraw.
- Kraken recently made it possible to verify funds. You have proof that your money is actually held by the exchange.
- Staking rewards – you can earn up to 23% in rewards annually by staking your assets with Kraken. It only takes a few clicks to stake.
Fees:
According to the Kraken guide on fees:
There’s a 0.9% fee for any stablecoins and a 1.5% fee for any other crypto or FX pair.
What I like/dislike about it:
One disadvantage of this app is that many smaller crypto projects are not listed on Kraken.
But if you’re not into investing in altcoins then there’s nothing to worry about.
Get started with Kraken.
5. Revolut
Revolut is a digital banking alternative that offers a free current account, foreign exchange, and peer-to-peer payments.
So it’s not only a crypto app but also a digital bank.
Revolut mostly popular in the UK.
Best features:
- User friendly interface – the app is very easy to use even for a complete beginner.
- Free Crypto – you can take short (1 minute) lessons about crypto which earn you free money upon completion (usually $3). You can then withdraw this money or invest it back into crypto assets.
- Doubles as a digital bank – this app’s main purpose is digital banking and not exchanging crypto. That explains why the fees are higher compared to dedicated crypto exchanges.
Fees:
According to the Revolut guide on fees, the crypto fee is:
You will pay 1.99% of the value of your crypto transaction or the currency equivalent, whichever is greater. This ‘minimum fee’ amount is based on the currency of your residence.
What I like/dislike about it:
The thing I dislike most about Revolut is the high fees.
However, what’s great is that users that use this digital bank as their main bank in Europe can have all their crypto and finances in one single place without having to download another application.
By the way, you can use Revolut and deposit fiat to Kraken in less than 10 minutes, without any fees involved.

Was this list of the best crypto apps in Europe useful?
Lastly, if you’re looking to invest in crypto in Europe, there are a few things you should know.
- Bitcoin is the most popular and well-known cryptocurrency, but there are many others that can be worth investing in as well.
- The value of cryptocurrencies can be very volatile, so it’s important to only invest what you can afford to lose.
- Unfortunately, there are a lot of scammers in the crypto space, especially on social media. An investment technique that promises big profits from mysterious crypto assets may turn out to be a Ponzi scheme – be careful!
- Finally, this is not financial advice.
Of course, there are other ways to make money online other than crypto.
