17+ Best YouTuber Tools To Start Earning Money Faster

Affiliate Disclosure: Some of the links in this post are affiliate links that I get a kickback from.

YouTube is an uphill battle in the beginning.

And the rewards like money from Adsense usually come a lot later than most creators expect.

Hitting your first 1000 subscribers is the hardest.

Because you have no idea what you’re going in the beginning.

The good news is that there are a lot of tools for content creators that can help with all the things, that a beginner YouTuber struggles with.

Whether it’s coming up with killer video ideas, writing better scripts, or monetizing your audience sooner (before you reach 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours), these YouTuber tools can help you do that.

Here are my picks for the best YouTuber tools this year:

What are the best YouTuber tools?

As a YouTuber, it’s important to have the best tools at your disposal to help you create high-quality content.

Here are some of the best tools for YouTubers that will help you take your channel to the next level:

YouTube Studio app is the most essential tool in any YouTuber’s toolkit

It lets you analyze your videos with tons of useful data and advanced features.

You can view your click-through rate, impressions, end-screen element click percentage and so much more.

I use this data to change my titles or thumbnails if the click-through rate is low and the video hasn’t gotten many impressions.

There’s so much more you can do in the YouTube studio app like see how many views your videos are getting per hour or export the advanced data as a .xlsx file and go in-depth with the analysis.

If you still haven’t reached 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours then you’ve probably already looked into other monetization options.

One of them is affiliate marketing.

It works by placing a product link in your YouTube video’s description which gives you a percentage of the sale if the viewer buys that product.

But the problem with affiliate links is that they look bad with all that tracking text.

And that’s where Bitly comes in.

This website lets you turn not so nice looking affiliate links into short, custom links that look great in your video’s descriptions

This YouTuber tool helps you generate ideas for videos and helps you write scripts using artificial intelligence.

Jasper is an AI writing assistant that helps you get your thoughts down on paper faster and with less effort.

You simply type or dictate your ideas into the app and Jasper generates a well-organized, well-written document for you with the help of AI.

It’s great for brainstorming ideas, getting rough outlines for videos, and creating copy for product pages.

Every YouTuber needs 2 tools – photo editing software and video editing software.

Although a bit on the pricier side, Adobe has the best content creator software in the industry.

I use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro to edit all the visual things in my videos.

But if you’re just starting out, chances are that you’re on a tight budget and don’t want to spend money on an Adobe subscription.

That’s why I’ve included more affordable and free options later in this list.

If you’re a YouTube creator, then you know how important it is to have high-quality stock footage in your videos that boost viewer retention

That’s where MotionVFX comes in.

They offer a wide range of video editing and effects services that can take your videos to the next level.

From color grading to compositing, they have the tools and expertise to make your videos look amazing.

And best of all, they offer affordable prices that fit within your budget.

I also recommend checking out this list of the best stock video sites for YouTube automation.

Tubebuddy is a Chrome extension that helps you rank videos in YouTube Search by showing you the competition and search volume of specific search queries.

It’s very similar to VidIQ but it has a few more interesting features.

One of them is A/B testing thumbnails.

Essentially, you can use Tubebuddy to upload 2 thumbnails for the same YouTube video and this tool will test out which thumbnail is performing better.

I recommend reading my full TubeBuddy review here to make sure that this tool is right for your channel.

Social Blade is a website that allows users to track YouTube statistics and analytics.

The site also provides data on Twitch, Instagram, and Twitter.

Social Blade enables users to see how much traffic any YouTube channel is getting, as well as the number of subscribers, views, and estimated revenue.

The site also allows users to compare channels and see which ones are growing the most.

Printful is a printing and fulfillment company that offers on-demand printing, warehousing, and shipping services for businesses of all sizes.

This website is perfect for selling custom merch to your YouTube audience to make extra income online.

They offer a wide range of products, including t-shirts, posters, mugs, and more.

You design your merch, upload the design to Printful and after someone buys it, Printful will make that product with your design and send it out to the person who bought it.

OBS is a free and open-source software for live streaming and screen recording.

It’s available for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

OBS is popular because it’s free and very powerful.

OBS can be used to record and live stream games, video lectures, webinars, and more.

It’s a popular choice for content creators who want to live stream their content to platforms like Twitch and YouTube.

A great way to monetize your audience before you reach the YouTube monetization requirements for Adsense is to create a course or any other informational product.

There are many course creation platforms out there but Skillshare and Thinkific are some of the best.

Thinkific is an online course platform that helps you create, deliver, and market your courses.

With Thinkific, you can easily create beautiful and modern courses, add engaging content, and use powerful marketing tools to reach your students.

Plus, Thinkific’s easy-to-use platform makes it simple to get started and scale your business.

However, it doesn’t have a built-in audience so you have to market your course yourself.

Another option is Skillshare.

If you have a skill that you want to share with the world but don’t want to market the course yourself, Skillshare is the perfect platform to create a course and start teaching.

Here’s an article on how much you can earn on Skillshare.

With Skillshare, you can create a course on almost any topic, and there are no limits to what you can teach because the minimum course length is only 10 minutes – just like a YouTube video.

Every YouTuber knows the adrenaline rush when it comes to hitting a 1 out of 10 video.

But not only do you need great content, but you also need to have good optimization.

This is where VidIQ comes in.

VidIQ is a tool that allows you to optimize your videos for YouTube.

It provides you with insights on how to improve your video ranking and get more views.

Overall, VidIQ is a valuable tool for any YouTuber who wants to get more views and improve their video ranking.

Camtasia is a powerful and easy-to-use screen recorder and video editor

It’s a good choice for someone looking for simple video editing software for a 1-time fee.

Camtasia is designed with simplicity in mind so if you don’t want to learn more advanced video editing software like DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro, then you can’t go wrong with it.

Use Camtasia to record on-screen activity, create engaging video presentations, or add a video to your website or blog.

Speaking of video editing, Envato Elements is a subscription service that gives you access to thousands of digital assets, including fonts, graphics, templates, and more

With Envato Elements, you can download as many assets as you need, when you need them, and use them in your projects without having to worry about licensing.

If you’re not familiar with Canva, it’s a free graphic design tool that’s beloved by bloggers and YouTubers

It’s simple to use and you can create awesome designs without being a professional graphic designer.

Canva is enough on its own as an all-in-one graphic design program if you don’t have the budget to spend on Photoshop or other alternatives.

If you’re thinking about using Canva for your business or blog, here are a few things you should know.

Canva is free to use… sort of.

It has a free version that you can use to create designs.

However, the free version has limited features and available elements.

If you want to use Canva for high creating high-quality thumbnails, I recommend upgrading to the paid version.

It’s well worth it for the additional features and high-resolution images that it offers.

If you’re not using Canva yet, I highly recommend giving it a try.

It’s an amazing tool for small businesses, bloggers & YouTubers.

Notion is an all-in-one workspace for your notes, tasks, wikis, and databases. It’s the one place for everything in your work life.

Most YouTubers use this tool to organize their whole channel which includes writing scripts, tracking the video production process, and optimizing old videos.

It’s great for streamlining and organizing your video production process – and it’s free!

Moreover, a lot of YouTubers convert their Notion pages into Notion templates which is a great side-hustle idea because you can make money on top of Adsense

P.S. I also made this Notion template that has everything I know about starting and growing a successful YouTube channel:
